Formed in Oswego, NY in 1987, Frostbit Blue is a Southern rock band known for its dynamic dual-guitar sound, tight harmonies, and gritty blend of blues, rhythm and blues, and classic rock. With influences reminiscent of The Allman Brothers Band and The Marshall Tucker Band, the group delivers a powerful, road-tested live show built on soulful musicianship and high-energy performance.
A longtime staple of the Central New York music scene, Frostbit Blue has released two major albums, Ice Breakerand Just What the Doctor Ordered, selling more than 18,000 copies and earning music placements on national television shows including Dawson’s Creek and Party of Five. The band has won two Syracuse Area Music Awards, was inducted into the Oswego Music Hall of Fame in 2017, and was the first opening act at Woodstock ’99.
Over the years, Frostbit Blue has shared stages with legendary acts including ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels, 38 Special, and Steppenwolf. Still active today, the band continues to bring its signature Southern rock sound to major regional events, including Oswego Harborfest and the Rev & Rock Classic Rock Festival.
